Stories We Tell: 13th Annual Solo Show at Kennedy Gallery in Portsmouth, NH

"Eventually We Fly," oil on linen panel, 16x20"
"No More Pretending"
Every painter has their own individual style - a certain technique, approach, handling of materials, palette or subject matter which carries their unique stamp. All of these elements combine to tell a story.
Sometimes the story unfolds over the course of the painting process, while other times, the story is clear from the beginning and is not as subjective or open to interpretation. The true beauty in appreciating a work of art is in the power of the work to influence a viewer and inspire a personal connection through the story they see and feel in a painting.

"The Part of You I Saw"
In these new landscapes, there are two distinct choices of subject matter to convey my stories - clouds and skies (looking upward) and woods scenes (an inward focus). My inspiration has become much closer to home, and I have experienced a huge boost in creativity from finding meaning in what I see and experience in my everyday world.
"Stories We Tell" hopes to inspire the imagination of the viewer to enter the painter's world and explore the creation of their own story.
Come and be uplifted by the skies and be calmed by the quiet mysteries of the woods.
(the show hung for the month of July 2022)
