For the month of July, Kennedy Gallery will feature my most recent oil landscapes.  My current show is entitled "Passages," reflecting passing moments in time captured in paint.  Works included in the show range from my signature dramatic cloudscapes, to the subtle softness of a misty field, to a peaceful cove with a band of soft clouds floating overhead.

One of the larger cloud paintings is "Illuminated Passage," showcasing a highlighted mass of clouds suspended above a darkened tree line. On a more intimate scale, "Tangled Web" draws the viewer along a path leading into a tangled mass of trees, suggesting a passage into another realm.

My goal as a painter is for people to feel the place in the painting - not necessarily a specific or identifiable location, but rather one that is meaningful to them - evoking their own personal story and emotions.  To this end, "Passages" may imply being transported into another world - the one that exists within the painting.

The opening for my show will be held at Kennedy Gallery this Thursday, July 3rd, from 5-8 p.m.  The show will hang for the entire month of July.

Enjoy your summer and I hope to see you soon!

I love Tangled web. It's very ethereal and mysterious.
